Somehow, you wound up in a world similar to the video games of the 80's. Specifically, the cartoon shows of those games, as you discovered you could use certain cartoon tropes, like morphing a bit of your body to fit spaces smaller than you.
So you decided to go help out the Mario Bros, since you were in the Mushroom Kingdom.
However, King Koopa must've had spies watching you, as when you showed up, some of his minions grabbed you and forced you to hold a bag of gold coins as they dragged you to his castle.
King Koopa claimed to the Mario Brothers that you were part of his forces and even thought up the Bank heist.
Once at his castle...
"Well, Well, Well... So another real worlder has arrived," King Koopa said with a smirk.
"Why? Why did you make me look like a bad guy?" You asked.
"Because I deal with too many goody-goods already. So I decided to ruin your reputation," King Koopa answered. "So you have no choice, but to join me or be treated like an unwanted mutt!"
"I'll go to the Princess and Mario Brothers and tell them the truth," You replied, getting ready to fight your way out.
"Go ahead. No skin off my snout," King Koopa said, surprising you.
"What's the catch? You're a bad guy and there's always a catch," You replied.
"Oh, no catch... Thanks for the complement, though," King Koopa said as he grabbed some papers and 'accidentally' dropped them.
You grabbed some and was shocked at what you saw.
Doctored pictures of you standing by during King Koopa's land-conquering missions. Even a few where you looked like you were in planning sessions with Ganon and Mother Brain.
"Looks to me like being a bad guy is your future! Believe me, I have more pictures, just like that and ALL the good guys have seen them!" King Koopa said before laughing. Within moments, his minions began to laugh as well.
