Koopa Coup

Well then, if your life from now on was that of a villain, might as well make the most of it. Unknown to King Koopa, you had stashed some mini mushrooms on yourself before his goons grabbed you. While he was laughing like a hyena, you take the opportunity to slip three out of your sleeve. You wait for just the right moment.
And that moment came when Koopa let out a large laugh, opening his maw wide enough for you to make your move. Quick as a flash, you throw the shrooms into his wide open mouth, causing him to cough for a second before they kicked in. Koopa shrunk down to the height of your foot before his height stabilized. Seeing this, his minions ceased their laughter and just watched in stunned silence.
"What are you doing you runt? I'm your master. You're supposed to serve me, not shrink me." Koopa squeeks as you pick him up by a spike on his shell and begin to carry him to a nearby lava pit.
"What do you mean Koopa? You were the one that wanted me to be bad, and aren't bad guys always backstabbing each other? I'm just doing what you wanted." You say as you dangle the former king over the pit.
"Your kingdom is now mine. Your armies are mine. I'll be a better bad guy than you ever were. By the way, don't worry about your kids. I'll raise 'em as my own."
Koopa lets out a string of squeeky curse words at your defiance. Having no more of this, you drop him into the pit and watch as the molten liquid melts him down to the bone before there was nothing left. With him gone, you turn back to the stunned minions. "Troops!" You shout, snapping them out of their stupor and making them stand in attention.
"I have disposed of King Koopa, so I am your king now. I will do what that has-been never could... win! I'll beat the Mario Brothers and their fellow heroes, all the maidens of this land will be ours, not just Toadstool, and Video Game Land will be united under my empire. Am I understood?" You declare.
