“Let's get out of here!” urge Alan. “C'mon, everybody. If we follow them, maybe we can somehow get our bodies back!”
“I'm not sure that's such a good idea,” said Janet. “I vote we stay put until we figure out exactly what sort of strange forces are at work in this horrible place.”
“But, mom!” whined Megan. “Some strange man is in my body right now! I don't wanna be a ghost. I want my body back! And I don't want some creepy, grown man running around pretending he's me. That's just wrong!”
“I have to agree with the kids, Janet,” replied Steve. “We've got to get out of this place before something even worse happens to us. Although I don't want anybody to get their hopes up too high. Let's face it – we might never be able to get our bodies back. But I'll be damned if I'm going to leave my family sitting high and dry as a bunch of spooks in a haunted house for all eternity. C'mon!”
Steve led the way, effortlessly floating right through the solid walls of the house. Alan and Megan followed. A reluctant Janet finally did the same.
