Unaccustomed to being disembodied ghosts, the spirits of the Donaldson family easily got lost wandering through the vast empty spaces of the ethereal world they were in that seemed to only narrowly intersect with the normal reality they were familiar with. As ghosts, they could sense the living and could perceive the outlines of solid objects, but found it difficult to perceive much of normal reality -- everything was blurry, faint, and fuzzy.
