Derek put the shrink ray away for now. As much as he really wanted to test out the shrink ray, his mind was more focused on the party he had in mind for later tonight. With the rest of his family going to visit his paternal grandparents, he had made up some excuse of how he wanted to see Claire tonight and was able to weasel his way out of going.
Watching his family grab their suitcases, Derek smiled and said goodbye.
"Okay, have fun tonight with Claire," Debbie said. "And remember, no parties."
Derek nodded and of course said he wouldn't and watched as they drove away. Almost instantly he took out his phone and started texting everyone he knew. "Costume party at my house. Some alcohol but if you want anything special BYOB."
After convincing his cousin Jeremy to pick him up a keg as well as a few other cases of beer, Derek could only wait until people started showing up that evening. He began pondering whether or not he wanted to use the shrink ray at his party. He was tempted to shrink everyone and just have a miniature party. That definitely sounded cool and is something that could make him legendary.
Before he put too much thought into it, his girlfriend, Claire, showed up at the door. "You look amazing," Derek said as he looked at her. Claire had come to the party in a simple costume, dressed as a hersheys bar (basically just wearing an outfit with the word Hershey's on it).
The two went upstairs and began to make out for a bit before Derek's friends started showing up. As the doorbell rang again and a large group of people gathered outside, what does Derek decide to do with the shrink ray?
