It had been a month since the accident during sword practice. Connie had fallen and broken her leg during a complicated move Pearl was very apologetic but her parents forbid her from practicing until it was fully healed and her mum being a doctor wanted her leg to heal naturally without using Steven’s power. Connie was still allowed to play with Steven but they had to be careful and not run around like they usually would.
Because of this Connie had started to notice a few
changes. Her once flat stomach now stuck out a little over the waist band not too much to be concerned about. Yet. Also she seemed to get out of breath faster than she used to but that was because she hadn’t been active for a month.
She was feeling a little down about her extra weight so she called Steven and then meet up on the beach. Steven had always been a chubby child but since going on his adventures with the gems he had slimmed down a bit. Steven told Connie about his latest adventure and how cool it was. Then Connie changed the subject to her weight.
“Steven do you think I still look ok even though I’m a bit pudgy now” Connie asked.
“Connie I think you look even better now that your a bit squishy. Your starting to feel like a marshmallow” said Steven smiling.
