Chapter #7

Back/Forward through the jungle

    by: Dread Author IconMail Icon
The best bet for help is the house across the back fence. The only person I sort of know there is their daughter, and I don't really know her as much as I remember her being a freshman when I was a senior at high school. By now she has to be in her own senior year. The good thing about this family is there is more of them to get help from the bad is that they are the furthest away out of my choices. It could take me days to cross this forest.

I walk through the cement patch which in and of itself was almost two hours before I even reach the grass line with the stalks towering over me bigger than any tree I've ever seen. It completely obscured my view of anything in front of me but the one thing that did catch my eye is a tall aged dandelion with white seeds that resembled a tall radio tower. If I climb that, I can use it as a vantage point to see what direction to take so I can reach the house fast.

The dandelion has small hairs on it that are like vines for me to climb. I try my best not to look down especially as I start to pass the canopy of the tall grass. To make sure I have the best view, I continue all the way to the top, standing on the flowering dandelion. As I look at the back fence and try to think of the best route, a particularly strong breeze blows that feels more like a hurricane gale! The whole dandelion leans and I almost fall off so I have to grab one of the large dandelion seeds! Me grabbing the seed along with the force of the breeze, makes the seed break off and I am sent flying in the air holding on to the seed like a glider! If I let go, I'll surely fall to my death as I'm now miles above ground!

I can only helplessly watch as the seed floats towards...

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. The neighbor's backyard, my destination.

2. Towards someone at park

3. Neighborhood park sidewalk

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
