Being the Good Guy... and Going Hungry

Moonbounce sighed, her belly still groaning. She couldn't eat another guard; even if he looked and smelled so delicious... no, no, she'd have to find somewhere open. It shouldn't be too hard. The thestral let out a puff of air in annoyance before she left Mint alone with the click of a shut door. She was back in the hallways, though it didn't take long to reach the entrance from there. She nodded at a couple of guards near the door before walking out between them and out into the city. Canterlot definitely had a lot of good food... along with its fair share of danger, but who would touch a guard?

Out in the radiant sunlight, the thestral found herself squinting, a leathery wing unfolding to try and cover her eyes from the burning late morning sun. She quickly burst into a canter to push to some shade where she stopped with a sigh of relief. Her stomach was quick to grumble again though, she needed something to eat! A small snack stall near the barracks caught her eye that had to be where most of the guards grabbed a bite on the way back from patrol. Greasy fryers were visible from where she stood, though other than a seemingly massive stall with a cushion, the only sign of the owner was a piece of paper helpfully stating "Be right back". The stall was easily opened up though... and no one was really looking. Slipping back there and starting up the fryers would be a breeze.

Just down the road though a new restaurant had opened up a few weeks ago. It seemed to be open for early lunches and late breakfasts. It was expensive, but apparently the food was to die for. Who would have thought dragons would make good gourmands? There wasn't a queue at the moment, she could easily grab a table and then order to her hearts content.
