Summer answered the doorbell and found some kids at the doorstep. A perky brown haired girl with and glasses in shortalls and a quiet long black-haired girl with a blank face wearing striped shirt and short pants. They both looked about Mouse's age.
"Morning Mrs Salt!" The first girl said.
"Er, mom is out so it's Miss Salt..."
"Oh there you are! Guys!" Mouse appeared behind Summer.
The two kids swept past the older sister and before she knew it they were already taking their shoes off and running upstairs. Summer grabbed Mouse before she could disappear, too.
"Mouse, who are those kids?"
"My friends from school, Mom said I could invite them over as long as you're here to watch over us."
"But I had plans to go out today, Mouse, hey!"
But her sister had already ran after her friends.
