After some consideration, Gumshoe decided to go to the Prosecutor's Office for his first test of the remote. If this thing really worked, he wanted Edgeworth to be the first one to know. It didn't take very long for Him to get to the prosecutor's office. He was allowed right in, after all, he was here very often to either see Edgeworth or clean Edgeworth's office.
As Gumshoe walked up the stairs to the floor that Edgeworth's office was on, he had a thought. Edgeworth wasn't the kind of person to just believe in something just because he's told, especially if what he's told sounds impossible. The only thing he believed in was evidence. How would he convince Edgeworth that the remote was real? That's when Gumshoe had a great idea. He would go to Edgeworth's office as someone else! Edgeworth wouldn't believe him i he just said what the remote did, but there's no way he wouldn't believe him if he someone else. Not even Edgeworth could think of a better explanation for why someone else was acting like him!
Now the question was, whose body should Gumshoe take? He was already at the prosecutor's office, so why not take the body of another prosecutor? Gumshoe gave some thought about what other prosecutors he knew and then he realized...he didn't really know that many prosecutors. The only to that came to mind were Franziska Von Karma and that Payne guy. There was no way he was going to take the body of that Payne guy, he was at least 20 years older than Gumshoe! He guessed he could switch with Von Karma, but if he somehow messed up, then he would be on the receiving end of a whip.
Of course, he didn't have to take the body of a prosecutor. Edgeworth had met many people over the years and Gumshoe was with him when he met those people! Unfortunately, Gumshoe didn't know where any of those people lived, but it was entirely possible, though improbable, that Gumshoe could run into at least one person that both he and Edgeworth knew on the way to Edgeworth's office.
As Gumshoe got closer to Edgeworth's office, he realized he had to make his choice. Who does he switch with?
