Laura was deep in thought as she stacked goods onto a shelf during her usual shift at Wilkos. She was normally the quiet kind anyway so nobody noticed that she was being extra quiet. After breaking an empty cardboard box down, Laura glanced around before reaching into her pocket. She was in possession of a small remote, simple in design, that read the user's mind and allowed him/her to swap people's body parts, mannerisms, personalities, etc.
Anyone swapped with the device wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary..
She already knew the remote worked, as she'd used it on the bus on the way to work, swapping the other passengers with each other. She had reversed most of the swaps of course, except the bitchy looking girl who kept staring at her. She left that girl with a bald head and some random fat guy's personality. And she didn't feel guilty in the slightest.
"Everything alright Laura?" Liz's voice startled the young worker, causing her to close her hand over the remote.
"Fine thanks Liz, and you?" she smiled.
Liz nodded. "I'm fine thank you." she responded. "Make sure you keep working okay." she then 'reminded' Laura.
As Liz then walked down the aisle and past her smiling staff member, Laura looked at her from behind. She didn't hate Liz, she was pleasant enough to her. But she was tempted to swap her in some way with one of her other co-workers. Hell... she was tempted to swap all her co-workers around just for fun. But a part of her was hesitant, the cautious part of her. And it was the part of her that usually won out.
