Laura did indeed have the urge to use her new toy at work, but she wasn't exactly as spiteful as Charlotte or Becca was. She decided to start work for now, and maybe she'd come back to Liz later. Making her way to her section, Laura saw the familiar faces. Aaron was stocking the shelves with heavy tins of paint, Rebekah was working as diligently as always, as were Jessica and Kiran.
There were a few notable absences, due to holidays, namely Shaun, Nicola and Helen, but everyone else was at work. "I suppose I've got enough to be working with." Laura muttered to herself as she walked onto her section and set up her rubbish bags.
"Heya Laura." Natalie suddenly waved down the aisle as she passed.
"Hey." Laura returned the wave and smile.
Laura's body may have been going through the routines of work, but her mind definitely wasn't. She had a reality-altering device that could swap people's body parts. How could she be expected to just carry on as though everything is normal. Not likely. she muttered to herself.
And with that, she started looking around to see which of her co-workers were nearest her.
Her palms were slightly sweaty and she was beginning to get antsy. No harm in it I suppose, as long as they remain oblivious. Laura convinced herself.
