Princess Arianne was the epitome of a proper royal lady. Educated in all the ways of etiquette and politics, Arianne possessed a sharp mind and looks befitting a woman of her station. Long golden hair complimented her clear blue eyes and flawless pale skin, while her well-maintained figure was clad in gowns and dresses that would put any other woman to shame.
She was also an utter snob. In her view, peasants were dirt beneath her perfectly pedicured feet, and those who would waste their time on things like adventuring and outdoors activity were little better. Even other members of the nobility were barely worthy of the royalty's presence, and should consider themselves lucky that she would grace them with her presence.
Case in point, as she was currently in her carriage, on her way back to her parents' palace from her private country home by the seaside. While she would have preferred to stay there and lazily spend the rest of the summer, her parents were hosting a gala for some visiting diplomat or another, and her presence was required. After all, she couldn't very well leave matters of royal presence and diplomacy to her sister, who so vulgarly acted as though she was a man in a woman's body. Honestly, Arianne was the only real princess in this kingdom, and she'd be sure to show it off at the gala.
Sadly for her, Arianne would never reach her destination, as her carriage was about to run across an unexpected and unpleasant surprise...
