You were about to finish your tasks for the day when you heard a husky "Hey Rob" behind you
"Hey Jacinta" you internally groaned but kept a cool tone. The blonde woman was attractive enough, competent at her job and wasn't a pain in the ass like Denise or Candice, but she was a bit too interested in you and seemingly unable to take the hint you weren't at all. Not only because she was older than you, but because you were pretty determined to not mix something like romance with your career. It could end terribly, you already knew that with your experience on other companies.
"Seems like you like staying late a lot" Jacinta commented casually. You explained to her it was only because you felt you needed to catch up and asked her if she also had to work late today, nothing wrong with some small talk.
"Oh not at all"
"Then why are you here? waiting for someone?" you asked with simple curiosity
"You could say so" she giggled "You're a young guy Rob, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.." Jacintaa got closer to you and put a hand on your bag, making you finally understand she was trying another move on you
"Say, why don't we go to the bar and have a couple of drinks? it could help you relax.. Or if you want we can go to a more quiet, intimate place" the way she slightly slurred the last sentence made you think she probably already had a drink at this point
"Sorry Jacinta, but I can't do that" you tried to be as firm as you could but it didn't come out as fully resolute. Maybe because you already felt like you had 2 enemies or because you didn't have a real reason to reject her other than the fact that you didn't want to mix love life and business
"Why not? You really need to let loose and be more friendly" Jacinta complained "It's just a drink"
"I.. I really don't want to, not today" you sounded less and less convincing
"You really need to loosen up a bit you know? You're too young and cute to be so stuck up, maybe Denise would like you too if you weren't like that" Jacinta mused and you felt the comment as a low blow, hitting where it hurts. It also made you momentarily forget of Jacinta's true intentions.
"I'm not stuck up, she didn't even give me a chance!" you protested "Maybe we all can go together some other day" you added trying to compromise the rejection with her attack on your character
"And why not today" She looked at you and raised an eyebrow, getting a bit closer
"Err..I'm not feeling in the mood" Yeah, you didn't have a good excuse for that question
"Still in a stuck up mood?" she giggled and got behind you, putting her hands on your shoulders as you frowned at the comment but had no way to retort
"See? You really need to loosen up a bit! I like you Rob and want to help you, so here's a little preview" You thought she was going to give you another of those slightly uncomfortable shoulder massages before leaving but she caught you by surprise when she got way too close with the intention to kiss you!
