You didn't know how to react and ended up doing something you regretted, maybe because of the stress of feeling borderline harassed by this woman or because you didn't know how to deal with someone like her you ended up using your hands to push her face away with a bit too much strength, which made her gasp in surprise and bewilderment
"That's enough Jacinta" you tried to muster an aggressive presence to make sure you had no patience for her antics, but the truth was you were a bit shook yourself about the poor way you handled this so you were unable to sound like someone who wasn't going to allow any further episodes like this, you sounded more like someone who wanted to apologize, the look on your coworker's face wasn't helping at all either, the way she was looking at you was as if you just punched her.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Jacinta growled, no longer showed any trace of the flirty behavior from earlier
"Sorry Jacinta, but I said no and.."
"So what? Does that mean you can just attack me?" Jacinta was hysterical at this point and once again you found yourself in a situation you didn't know how to defuse
"I told you I'm not in the mood" you tried to reason with her but it sounded like a whine at this point. Deep down you knew something was wrong with you too, rejecting the advances of an attractive enough woman for seemingly no good reason, but you didn't have a clue on how to solve this in an amicable way and only wanted it to not escalate further
"You are a fucking pig" Jacinta was having none of your reasons "I only wanted you to relax and loosen up a bit, nothing gives you the excuse to treat me like that"
"I know it was too much and I'm sorry but.." Your apology was once again cut short
"Save yourself the excuses, Denise was right, no wonder almost everyone here hates you." Jacinta said angrily before picking up her things and leaving. That last comment felt quite painful to you, it was true that you weren't really managing to have a lot of friends so far but hearing from someone else everyone else hated you was quite demotivating.
You knew Denise and Candice were a pain in the ass but at least you could understand why was that the case, you were stealing Denise's thunder and the receptionist was only supporting her ally against you, but now you felt you had another enemy in Jacinta simply for rejecting her advances. Maybe you should try to salvage the situation the next day and make a heartfelt apology for your actions, what if she decided to bring this to HR? Or maybe you should take the advice and try to get along with the people that hated you, which apparently was everyone in the office except for Jenny. Either way, you felt if you decided to do nothing things would only get worse for you. If Jacinta spread the news of how you treated here in the office even Jenny would probably turn against you and in an office with mostly women like this one everything would become an uphill battle, assuming you don't get fired on the spot of course.
