Tending to her shrine

At that early hour of the evening, Rei was found within the dimly-lit confines of her shrine, murmuring a memorized chant to the glowing flames.

The robed shrine maiden was becoming a little annoyed by the lack of results, but she willed herself to stay calm and not let it show.

She shut her eyes, let her shoulders rise and fall to relax her tension, then stared into the fire once more.

The flames then presented an answer... but not the sort she would have liked.

For the fire decided it would...
