After the passing of the Third Hokage Konohamaru became very depressed and even ended up bedwetting, Naruto understood he was upset and became very close and tried to be a good friend for him. Eventually Naruto ended up living in the Third Hokage's old house with Konohamaru and he caught onto the bedwetting. Naruto suggested diapers as therapy for Konohamaru and assured him there was pride in it, to help Konohamaru's confidence Naruto began wearing diapers too. They would now help and change each others diapers, slowly Konohamaru became able to control his wetting until he didn't need diapers anymore. However Naruto really enjoyed his diapers and couldn't give up on them, shortly after Konohamaru stopped wearing diapers he started again, also enjoying himself and not wanting to be left out. The boys had bonded over the diapers and the close friendship they had involved in changing each other and even engaging in babyish activities and attires.
There had been a nasty flu virus in Konoha going around, the flu itself wasn't very symptomatic but it was extremely contagious and potentially highly dangerous for the elderly citizens of Konoha. There had been many announcements and articles in newspapers regarding checking yourself into the local Hospital if you had developed any symptoms, both Naruto and Konohamaru had managed to contract the flu and decided to go to the Hospital. The boys noted that the Hospital was ram packed with people with the flu and it was very understaffed, eventually they managed to talk to a nurse.
The nurse gave Naruto and Konohamaru some forms to fill out, the nurse also explained that since they had a huge intake of patients many children had to share the nursery wards with the very young children. Naruto and Konohamaru also had to fill out a full medical form, the form covered basic things like age and gender and also medical issues - such as bedwetting. There was a composite list of other conditions they could check off and what came with them, the boys gave each other a grin before filling out their forms. They made sure to put their ages low enough to make sure they would be checked into the young ward and ticked off a bunch of other conditions they could have fun with, such as night terrors and inability to eat solid foods.
After submitting their forms the nurse reads over them, she apologizes and explains that they are within the age group to be submitted to the Nursery ward to Naruto and Konohamaru's excitement. The boys are lead to the ward by the nurse, the ward is made up of a reception desk at the front and several rooms filled with beds, wardrobes and changing tables, one room is open plan designed to be a play area filled with soft carpet and toys which is boarded off by child guard rails. The nurse clips the forms onto two beds and offers the boys to sit on them, explaining this is where they will stay until the flu dies down.
The nurse mentions another nurse will come by shortly to prep them and their beds and then she leaves. The boys giggle with excitement when ____ walks into the room.
