Chapter #6First Practice by: Unknown Your first practice as a cheerleader goes excellently. From warm ups to basic stunt practices you excel surprising yourself and everyone else on the team. When being instructed by Katy about stunt procedure and etiquette, you only need to be told once. You learn to keep your head up at all times and distribute your weight evenly. Your small size compared to the other girls makes it easier for them and for you too balance. Even with the chants you are a natural not slipping up or getting tongue tied at all, much to the amazement of some of the veteran girls. You find yourself enjoying the training more and more, relishing the challenge of a new new stunt. Being lifted and cradled by the girls is pretty emasculating however and is something you struggle getting used to. You soon forget about the uniform though and don't become too worried when your skirt flips on some of the stunts, its just something you have to wear.
At the end of the practice, Katy is so confident with your abilities that she lets you attempt a basic toss. Two girls come either side of you and launch you into the air, you pirouette spreading your weight between the two catchers and land delicately in their arms. When put down you are panting from the adrenaline and sheer enjoyment but all good things have to come to an end and training finishes.
Katy approaches you at the end. "Wow, all I can say is wow. I have never seen anyone pick up cheerleading as fast as you did. There's no doubt about it, we need you on the team Adam and we need you now."
Having never been good at any sort of sport you are overwhelmed by this. "Thanks Katy that really means a lot. Yeah I would really love to be on the team but umm..." you trail off.
"What? What is it?" Katy says looking panicked by your hesitation.
"Its just that I'll be a boy doing cheerleading. I really want be on the team but I can see a lot of bullying in my future if I do." you say.
Katy brightens at this. "You don't need to worry about that, during practice I came up with an idea that would solve both our problems. Its pretty odd to have a guy as a flyer, even one as small as you so Amelia and I thought it would be better if you joined the team as a girl."
You are taken aback by this. "How would I do that."
"Simple, we help you dress and act like a girl. We talk to the principle to clear it and sort out classes and I know she will, give you a makeover and lessons to be a girl and then you you would come to school as a girl and no one would be the wiser. No bullying, you get to do cheerleading and I get an all star flyer for football games and competitions, everyone one wins. What do you think?" She says grinning.
You are flattered by being called an all star but you can't help picking holes in her plan. "But what about my friends and what would my mom say?"
"Friends? You mean the guys that signed you up for cheerleading in the first place and anyway aren't they the weirdos who hang around the bike shed after class, you could do better Adam." She has you there, you never have been good at making friends, always falling in with losers and two-faced dicks. "And as for your mom, Im sure she would understand, maybe she would encourage you to help out a sports group in need."
"But how would I pass for a girl?" you say now scrapping the bottom of your excuse barrel.
Katy smirks at this. "Um Adam, don't take this the wrong way but I don't think it would be hard at all for you to pass as a girl. Your face is androgynous if not feminine and your small frame is just right for a girl. All you need is a bit of makeover and I think you would be a lot prettier than most of the girls in the school."
"You really think I could do it?"
"I wouldn't ask you if you couldn't. So what do you say?"
Your head is spinning with the offer of being made to look like a girl and given a new identity. Of course you are resisting the idea, your a guy, you like girls but on the other hand, you have never loved anything as much as cheerleading, the guys you hang around with are all douches and having a new identity could be a fresh start, a clean break.
