Typically, Ian enjoyed hanging out at the Colony Mall. Typically, though, he was hanging out with his friends.
It was a surprise to the boy to find that his three closest friends (Matthew, Derrick, and Chad) all had plans outside of Porto for the entire summer. Matthew was going on an extensive European vacation with his parents. Derrick was staying with cousins on the East Coast. And Chad had been accepted to a prestigious amateur wrestling summer camp. While all four boys were on their school's wrestling team and applied for the camp, it was only Chad who made it.
"This sucks," groaned Ian as he wandered around the mall for a third hour. He glanced at a window for a shoe store and admired his reflection. Fit, with chest muscles and biceps to stretch his shirt tight. A little on the shorter side but still tall enough. Short, neatly cut light brown hair. Eyes: Blue. In all, Ian had little to complain about when it came to his looks.
He sighed. "Maybe some Retail Therapy would help." Thanks to his wealthy parents, Ian was never short on cash. And a new purchase would take his mind of his boredom.
