Something about the pudgy girl at the food court got his attention. The girl had a small mountain of burritos wrapped in colorful paper on a tray in front of her. She brushed back her straight reddish hair before unwrapping one and devouring it in three greedy bites. Red sauced oozed from the corner of her mouth staining her pale skin. Reaching for a paper napkin, the girl rubbed it against her mouth before going for another burrito.
Ian noticed the girl's jeans. Stretched to their limit, they obliviously struggled to contain chunky thighs and a sizable rear. She wore a maroon shirt with the word "BURRITOPIA" on the chest. A cartoon burrito danced by the logo on her shirt. The girl needed a size up as the shirt did little to hide the blossoming roll of belly fat which stuck out further than her small chest. A slight bit of arm pudge made the sleeves of her shir-
"Excuse me? Can I help you?"
Ian snapped out of it. He had not realized he had been staring at the feasting girl for several minutes. "Oh. Um. Sorry. It's just...you look familiar and...uh, I couldn't remember from where..." It wasn't entirely a lie. Ian felt like he recognized her from somewhere but he couldn't remember exactly.
The girl finished her third burrito. "Yeah, I think I've seen you before. What's your name?"
"Ian Hunter," he said, approaching her table. She had a cute face, adorable even. Her slender cheeks could have disguised the fact that she was carrying some significant weight on the rest of her body.
"Oh yeah, Ms. Goodwin's English class last year. We were in the same class. We did a group project on The Call Of The Wild. That book sucked..."
It finally came to him. Taylor Faye. He had a class with her before. "No wonder I couldn't recognize her..." Ian thought to himself. "She really plumped up..." He remembered Taylor as a fairly trim girl but reckoned she must have packed on at least 60 pounds in the last year.
"Taylor, yeah! I remember!" he said while taking a seat next to her. "That book did suck." Ian gesture to the fast food chain logo on her shirt. "Heh, you work at the Burritopia here?"
She rolled her eyes. "It's a job. Besides, they're really flexible with scheduling. And the employee discount isn't bad. Want one?" Taylor offered one of the burritos from her pile.
They ate and they talked. When the burritos were gone, Taylor got up to grab chips and queso. Ian would have been lying if he said he didn't check out the girl's thick rump as she plodded off for more food, her backside noticably jiggling though imprisoned in tight denim.
After nearly an hour of eating and talking, Taylor looked at the time on her phone. "Ugh. Got to get back to my shift..." She got up from their table and brushed crumbs off her shirt. Her overfed tummy wobbled slightly.
Ian got up too. "Well, it was good catching up." He was about to say goodbye when he felt himself suddenly compelled to ask Taylor...
