Justin doesn’t see her.

If there was any chance that Justin were to stop his tiny cousin standing in his pizza slice, then it would’ve given Jules some hope. Instead he opened his mouth and slowly inserted the tip of the pizza inside. His teeth went down and helped separating it from the main slice, his lips locked tight while he chewed the slice.

“Justin, this is all a joke, right?” Jules chuckled but she knew better. She must’ve been too small to see, which meant that she was about to be eaten by her cousin. She was gonna get eaten alive, and she’ll probably melt inside of him like plenty of foods she had before. She was scared of that, especially when she stared at Justin’s lips moving quite fast.

He gulped and opened his mouth again, this time Jules started running.

She was aiming to reach the crust which was ridiculously far away, it wouldn’t provide much safety since Justin liked to eat the crust but his hand was there and that was all she needed to know. She had to get onto his thumb and pray that he’ll see her. The problem? Justin’s mouth was getting closer.

With plenty of the pineapples in her way, she didn’t look behind her to see how close her cousin’s mouth was, but she felt the ground shift and stole a quick glance. The mighty lips of Justin were just dangerously close by. She must’ve ran what felt like one-fourth of a mile. His mouth crossed that in only seconds. He tore off another piece of the pizza slice and chewed again, this time much quicker than his previous bite.

“Oh god oh god oh god, this can’t be happening!” Jules screamed and ran faster than she’d ever ran before. Her gym teacher would’ve been proud. Too bad she didn’t watch her step and had her left foot stuck in a small hole where sauce came out of it. It made her fall to her face but she didn’t feel any pain.

The ground shifted again and she turned to see Justin’s mouth pulling it apart. A small piece had just passed the thin gap of his lips and he chewed again, letting her watch before he sent it down with a gulp. She didn’t have any time to run again, the next bite was gonna include her.

“Justin, don’t eat me!” She tried to get up and scream again, but even if she could what would he see? She was too small and didn’t stick out like the pineapple or ham ahead of her. She was just a morsel to this giant cousin of her’s and he might not even know what he was about to do. All be could see was a slice of pizza that just begged to be gobbled up until it was all in his stomach, so he was going to make sure it was.

His mouth opened wide, his hot breath was felt all around Jules. She really wished he’d brush his teeth after this since she was given a good look at some good sticking out of his white teeth. In one of the few scenarios in her head, she’d be stuck between them but she knew that wasn’t gonna happen.

She felt the slice moving closer to Justin’s mouth. The dreaded moment was coming.

“Justin, no!” She was getting too close to him, any second now he was gonna chomp down and consume her without a thought. She couldn’t move in time and wished for a miracle to save her from such an awful end. Will her wish be granted?
