"Dear." Elizabeth said surprised seeing Liza walk in the office. She stood up from her chair and ran over to her daughter as she hugged her.
"OMG mom is that you?" Lisa asked almost too afraid to believe it.
"Yes it's me. I'm so glad you're alright dear. When the people here told me that you were still asleep I was beginning to get worried." She said letting go off Lisa.
"I'm not surprised I slept this long, if you don't set your alarm clock during the week you would sleep through half the day."
"You mean you would sleep through half the day." Elizabeth pointed out as she grabbed her daughter's hands or rather her former hands. She was so happy that Lisa had been alright.
"Glad to see you alright too Lisa. Sit down." The other woman said pointing to the other chair. As Lisa sat down the woman shook her hand. "I'm Emma Nail and I'm the director of the Nexus."
"I'm glad to see both of you alive and well. After the accident occurred we didn't know what would happen to you, we could only wait until both of you would wake up."
"Do you what caused the accident?" Elizabeth asked straightening her posture. Emma could clearly see she had the maturity of an adult.
"We're still looking into that. But let me say how sorry we are that this happened to you."
"And do you know a way to reverse this?" Lisa asked.
Emma shook her head. "Our scientists and magicians are still looking for a solution as we speak. Nevertheless even if we could swap you back we wouldn't do it yet. The original contract is still intact between you and your mother. She has your identity and you hers, with each other's bodies of course but that doesn't change a thing."
"You mean I'm stuck like my mom?" Lisa asked a little whiny which sounded odd coming from a 39 year old woman.
"Lisa, you don't have to say it like it's a bad thing." Elizabeth reprimanded.
"We know that you didn't expect this to happen Lisa, but as compensation we are prepared to double the fee you would receive if you only traded identities."
"Okay, well in that case everything is fine with me." Lisa said smiling a bit unsure.
"That's the spirit Lisa. One of my staff will come to take you to another room, so they can perform some tests. After that you'll receive each other's file and you'll come back here when Elizabeth or should I say Lisa now, has returned from her trip."
"Fine with me. I'm Lisa Hale for the next few weeks and you're Elizabeth Hale. This is going to be great mom." Elizabeth said.
"Just make sure you don't stay out too long and beware of strange boys." Lisa said pretending to be her mom grinning.
"OMG I promise." Elizabeth said holding up her hands.
Lisa smiled seeing her mom act like her. These were going to be interesting weeks.
