As Lisa followed Emma out of the room, she suddenly became aware of the situation. She was her mom now and her mom was now her. It was just like a freaky Friday movie, except for two things. The first one was that they wouldn't swap back within a week and two was that it wasn't some unexplainable force of events but just a machine that didn't quite work as it should have been. Lisa hoped they could fix the thing, spending a few weeks inside her mother's body was something she could oversee; her entire life was something different.
Lisa followed Emma into an examination room like in a doctor's office. "If you'll wait here, one of my staff will come by to take some test and hand you your files. I wish you good luck Mrs. Hale." Emma added as she left the room.
Mrs. Hale, I never thought I would be called that this soon. Lisa thought as she looked around. It was the same kind of doctor's office like back home, except for how clean the place was. Lisa could see her reflection in the reflection of the tiles underneath her.
Her reflection, she just thought. It wasn't exactly her reflection, it was her mom's reflection. But until her mom would return from her trip to Mexico it was Lisa's reflection.
Lisa walked over to the mirror in the room. It was odd seeing her mother's reflection looking like that. Lisa walked over to the mirror, amazed by how she looked now. Her mother's face right in front of her, with all it's tiny mistakes. While her own face was spotless, Lisa could see her mother's wrinkles from this up close.
Ugh, I told mom to let me buy that wrinkle cream for mother's day, I wish I had. Lisa thought mad as she looked at herself. She then made a series of expression, ranging from shocked to seducing to angry. "And that is it young lady, you got yourself house arrest." Lisa said out loud. She had to laugh from seeing her mother act like that, though that ruined the perfect impression of her mom.
Lisa then felt her long brown hair, her mom kept her hair nice, though she didn't want to dye her hair back to full brown. "Perhaps I could spruce up her hair a little." Lisa mumbled as she looked at it.
"That you could do." A voice suddenly said. Lisa turned around to find a woman around her thirties had entered the room. "You don't have to be afraid of me, Jenna Sterling is the name though you can call me Jenna." Jenna said shaking Lisa's hand.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Lisa." Lisa said still a bit shocked.
"I heard yeah, bummer isn't it? First client you get is your mom."
"You say it." Lisa said feeling at ease with the woman already.
"Okay Lisa, I'm going to do a few little tests with you, just to make sure what changed. What's your full name? Who's your best friend? And what was the name of the last guy you went out with?"
"That's easy. My full name is Lisa Elizabeth Hale, my best friend is Megan and my EX-boyfriend was Tom Anderson." Lisa explained.
"Great to know. Okay, my second question: what's the earliest memory you have of your best friend?
