Chapter #5

The explosion didn't only transfer lives, b...

    by: Unknown
When Lisa woke up she saw the young woman from before opening the door as she walked inside the room. Lisa felt different than she normally would. Her head hurts like someone had pulled out her brain and put it in a blender. She still felt a little dizzy as she closed her eyes again.

"Are you in there Lisa?" The young woman asked putting the emphasize on her name.

"Yes, I'm here. What happened? I feel so dizzy and my head hurts." She said with difficult. Her throat was parched. The young woman stood beside Lisa as she looked sad at her.

"Lisa, I don't know what to say. Let me ask you first: do you remember anything what happened?" The young woman asked.

"No." Lisa shook her head. "I remember lying here and then everything is a blank. What happened?" Lisa asked noticing the serious expression on the woman's face.

The young woman didn't know how to say it, as she looked uncomfortable. "I'm sorry to tell you Lisa, but there has been an accident. We're still trying to figure out what exactly happened and what caused it, but something happened."

"What, what is it?" Lisa asked getting scared now.

"It's best if you take a look in the mirror." The young woman said handing Lisa a handheld mirror. Lisa grabbed it as she tried to look at her reflection. In her reflection she didn't see her own cute young face anymore, but the reflection of her mother. She was amazed to see how good the transfer worked out. It was an exact copy of her mother's face, from the little crow's feet to her faded long brown hair to her small lips.

"I don't understand, I'm supposed to have my mom's life. What is wrong with my reflection?" Lisa asked confused as she looked at her reflection.

"Lisa the Nexus didn't only transfer your lives it also switched your bodies. The reflection you're looking at now is your mom's body which you are currently inside." The young woman says gently.

"OMG so you're saying I'm totally my mother now?" Lisa asked the woman. She shyly nods to Lisa's question.

Lisa didn't know what to think, she knew she had to take over her mother's life, but this? This was way too much.

"Now I know you've a lot of questions, but I've been asked to take you to the director of the Nexus. She can answer all your questions." Lisa nodded as she carefully took a step on the floor. She felt a little dizzy, but she could handle it. The young woman then handed Lisa a bath robe which she could put on. When Lisa looked down she was amazed to see a whole different body underneath her. Lisa quickly put on the bath robe, there was time for looking at it later.

The young woman then took Lisa to the director's room. In front of the door she stood still. She knocked on it and opened the door for Lisa. "I think you know the person inside, Lisa." The young woman said with a smile. As Lisa stepped inside she saw the director of the Nexus sitting there with a familiar person. That person was her mother in her body.
