"My lady", he bowed, "We request that your immediate presence be near one of the Sols. It seems to be malfunctioning!"
Midna knew they requested her for her unique ability to wield magic. She was attuned to the sols and their energy, so she could probably deal with most any problems concerning them.
"I'll follow you back, if you would be so kind as to lead." decided Midna.
"Of course, my lady"
They traversed their way down the twilit corriders and descended the spiraling staircase to her ground floor. Here were many workers busy re-furbishing the palace to suit a Twilight Princess. From there, they exited the palace through the main gates and went across a large walkway.
"It's the one to the left, Princess"
They head left and enter the palace housing the Sol. After passing through a few rooms, Midna notices the power is behaving abnormally, and she feels a little off. The feeling increases as she near its resting chamber.
They enter the room where several twili appear to be attempting to tend to the Sol, caressing it and attempting household cures. Midna knows it is important to her people both as a symbol of balance and a real power source. She orders them to clear out of the way and prepares to diagnose the Sol. It is glowing orange, and it is customary for a Sol to change color when it is behaving abnormally, but it is commonly red or green, she had never seen orange. She rubs the sol with her hand and feels its typical heat, feeling a slight buzzing in her head as she does so.
She notices the patterns of runes on the Sol are slightly askew as well, so she finally attempts to correct them with her magic in an attempt to fix it. As her magical consiousness touches the Sol's, she feels a barrier pressing against her mind. She tries to break through, and succeeds after an effort, but then it surround her and has her trapped. Feeling just a bit scared, Midna awaits the Sol's reaction. It seems to take some kind of offense to her, and promptly rejects her mind.
