The click of the lock sent equal parts relief and anxiety through Mackenzie's body. Deciding she'd rather leave her shapely ass exposed to the street than flash Rachel, Mackenzie quickly re-positioned her arms, holding her book in front of her crotch and crossing an arm awkwardly across her chest.
Rachel's greeting died on her lips as she saw who was had knocked on her door, and how said person was (un)dressed. Before she could regroup and voice her shock, Mackenzie began speaking.
"Hey Rachel, it's a really long story, but the thing is I'm kinda locked out of my house and really need to get back inside so I can get dressed. Could you give me that spare key I gave you so I can get back inside? I'd really owe you one!" Mackenzie blurted out at light speed, her heart racing faster with every word. Anxiously, she looked Rachel in the eyes, putting on her best pleading look in hopes that it would sway her once-friend's sympathies.
Rachel simply stared at Mackenzie for a long moment, apparently processing what she had said. Mackenzie involuntarily shivered as she felt Rachel's eyes sweep over her bare body, trying to ignore it and hoping that Rachel would just hurry up and grab that key she so desperately needed.
Finally, Rachel responded. Rather than words, she let her actions do the talking.
