It took a moment for David to realize what he had done, since he was sat down. But even seated, his drop in height was evident and he looked first down at himself, then across at Jamie, noticing she was definitely taller. Whoops. He thought, fidgeting in his seat. Jamie took a drink of her coke and then saw him staring at her.
"What's the matter?" Jamie asked, unaware of the swap.
"Uh... nothing, it's fine." David smiled, pretending everything was normal. He had swapped heights with Jamie while studying all her individual traits, and so he knew he'd have to be careful controlling his power. Pretending to search his pockets for something, David stood up, and immediately noticed how much shorter he was, just 5'2" tall now. Jamie then got her phone out and stood up to show him a picture of Alicia she had taken the other day, and for the first time, he found himself having to look 'up' at his now 5'10" sister. A little smirk appeared on his face as he took her phone off her and flicked through her pictures.
David was amazed to see that in all the pictures of Jamie with her friends, she was the tallest one now. The reality change was unbelievable and even affected pictures of the swapped people.
David now had to decide whether to swap back with his younger sister, or keep himself at her short stature for now. After all it was a whole new experience being the shorter one of the two.
And of course, he was tempted to swap something else with his sister too.
