The next person brought in was a teenage boy about 16 named Karl K. Kline. The bailiff placed him in the defendant's chair, and placed the cap of the lie detector on his head. As Judge Ballbuster looked over the boy, and sighed, "Karl, I rarely give anyone a 2nd chance. I gave you a warning about your behavior less then 6 months ago. Now I see you back in the defendant's chair again. What do you have to say for yourself?"

Karl pleaded, "Sir I was trying to get a passing grade on my algebra test. I was only asking Me Lin for help when..............."

A red light flashed on the boy's cap. Indicating a lie.

The judge looked at the boy, and said, "You were caught trying to beat up Miss Lin. Tell me the real reason why."

"You don't understand your honor, she throws off the grading curve. I should be getting B's but thanks to her the best I've done all year is a C+. I need good grades to get into college. That's why,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I asked..............told her to mess up on the test."

A cross look appeared on Judge Ballbuster's face, "And this gives you the right to beat up a girl half your size? Young man, other then sports, none of your grades are better then a C+. You have only gotten 4 B's in your lifetime."

"That's because those damn gooks make me look bad!" Karl realized he shouldn't have said that, but now it was too late.

"Looking over your last time here, it was a Jewish boy who's arm had broken. In elementary school it is believed you had beaten up a black boy, over a basketball game. That was before we had the B56 lie detector. Did you beat up that boy, Mr. Kline?" ask the judge.

"No your ............." The red light flashed again.

"One more lie and you will end up a C5. Did you beat him up because he was black?" asked the judge. The boy started shaking. "Answer me now or you will be transferred to a C5."

"Yes sir, your Honor. But I can change," pleaded the boy."

"I sentence you to becoming a B3, you will be given 3 days to find a job. If you don't find one, you will work in the city sewers. I hope you can learn from this. Court in recess while I find a proper B3," said the judge as he went to the files to find a new body for the boy."

Karl started to cry as he realized he was going to lose about 20 or 25 years of his life. At least he wasn't going to be in a fat or disabled body. But he knew from the look the judge had given him, he would no longer be white.

The judge looked over the files of people requesting a transfer. He found a perfect subject, and gave her a call
