"Hmm..." Sighed Yugi as he watched TV in the card shop's living room. Grandpa Muto was away on a trip with Professor Hawkins and said he'd be out for a couple of weeks. At first Yugi was excited about getting some time with himself. Then it dawned on him that things can get real boring, real fast, especially when the shop is closed in the first place. He'd try to call and see if his friends wanted to come over, but they were all busy. Tea was too caught up in her job at Burger World, Joey was sorting out family problems, and he hasn't heard back from the voicemails he left for Tristan and Bakura. It was just so dull. Because of it, Yugi had just been watching reruns of past duel tournaments on TV while raiding the cabinets for snacks. It was only a matter of time before it showed...
"Yugi, don't you think you're getting a little... er..." Yami stuttered, trying to find the right words.
"What is it, Yami?" Yugi asked, shoveling a handful of Cheez-Its into his mouth.
"Well, you're getting kind of... pudgy."
"What do you-" Yugi looked down at himself, but he couldn't see his toes. He instead saw a crumb-covered tummy poking out from underneath his black tank top. All the laying around and snacking he'd been doing had gone straight to his gut.
"I always thought you were cute, Yugi, but now you're just plain adorable." Yami teased while poking Yugi's tummy. His now-chubby cheeks blushing a beet red.
"Quit it, Yami!" He cried, trying to cover his new built-in pillow but to no avail. He knew his other half was just messing with him, but it gave him a weird feeling about being chubby. Something he hadn't felt before. Was it that he had a secret admiration towards his new frame?
