You lift the baby dragon up to examine in between its rear legs, and see a slit. However, remembering that alligators need to be sexed, or have a finger stuck into their cloaca, to determine their sex, you feel the dragon is similar enough it may have a cloaca as well. So you start inserting a finger into it's slit...
