the hunt

once you found the boar you charged at it with your shield in front of you and rammed it with your shield and surprisingly it staggers the boar you then lay your sword into its body and it dies but to your surprise in the loot you find a ring that reads :all damage done while holding a shield is increased by 50% for each shield equipped and each piece of heavy armour worn

with then hunt over your realise that it is getting quite late so you head back to town and turn in the bounty your receive the GIL and sell junk items, using the money you buy a heavy chest plate and a second shield and use the remainder to get a room in the tavern

once back in the tavern you equip your new gear including the second shield you notice that this unequips your sword but you get a new notification that reads

dual shield wielding skill unlocked and then you read the flavour text

with your new found ability you cast aside the sword to become a protector with a shield this skill while wielding two shields you gain the following abilities:
- all damage done with shields is increased by 50%
- access to the dual shields skill tree

you go into the menu and open the status bar and see the current effects tab and see you currently have a total of 200% damage up due to your skills and equipped items

you then go to the skill tree and then go into the Dual Shields tab and see you have access to three new skills
- anchor howl; when used any enemies within 10 meters take 100hp of damage if they attack anything other than you
- fortress of shields; when used you plant your shields down either side of you creating a barrier that negates 99% of incoming damage for 5 seconds
- shield bash; you slam your shields into an opponent doing 150% your base attack stat in damage and stuns the enemy
