The huge asteroid tumbled through space, towards earth. In a different, more familiar timeline, it would have smashed into the earth, throwing up huge clouds of dust and leading to the extinction of the dinosaurs. However, it was not so in this universe. The asteroid gracefully slipped past earth before harmlessly crashing into the sun several hours later. The dinosaurs continued to thrive, with humanity eventually evolving alongside them. However, over time the animals that would have gone extinct in our timeline began to grow larger as time went on, leaving humanity small and vulnerable. However, the dinosaurs started to protect humanity, like an older brother, as time went on, and the two species' became inseparable.
