"I would like you to escort me to the Dining Hall for breakfast," Andaret said with a smile.
Cyrus responded, somewhat groggily, "In a moment, Princess, I must put on my armor." Andaret looked at him, somewhat confused. She asked, "Why do you need to do such a thing? I am simply asking you to take me to the Dining Hall and nothing more." As Cyrus got out of bed, he replied, "Your Majesty, as your bodyguard, it is my duty to help keep you safe, and I cannot do that unless I am wearing--" Andaret interrupted Cyrus in that moment by saying, "Oh, hush now - it is your first day, and all I am asking is that you join me for breakfast. Can I not extend this courtesy to one of my subjects without having them take it so seriously?"
Cyrus was surprised at how... casual Andaret was acting, given that she was royalty. Cyrus has worked with members of the upper class before - usually noblemen and the like - but this was his first time having worked with the Crown directly. For such a prestigious young woman, she was almost treating Cyrus as though he was an equal... almost.
After pausing for a moment, Cyrus replied, "Well, alright Princess, if that's what you wish."
"Excellent!" Andaret exclaimed. "Allow me to show you some of the castle on the way there."
A few minutes had passed as Adaret and Cyrus walked through the castle halls, with her showing him all the various rooms along the way. Cyrus tried to take note of the layout of the castle, while also listening to what Andaret had to say, but every so often Andaret would break wind, causes him to lose focus. Cyrus had stayed silent throughout the majority of the walk, and did not mention Andaret's flatulence at all. As they got closer and closer to the Dining Hall, Cyrus could not help but notice that Andaret's expression had changed, however slightly, from a smile to something more melancholy.
Man, this is awkward, Cyrus thought. He had remembered what the guard from the day before and what he said about Andaret's flatulence, as well as how many guards have come and gone. Cyrus began to ponder, Maybe that has something to do with it. As they reached the doors to the dining hall, Andaret turned to Cyurs and said, "Here's the entrance to the dining hall - the chef has prepared us some bacon and eggs. Between you and me, that's my favorite!" Before she could have the nearby guards open the door to the Dining Hall for her, Cyrus said, "W-Wait, Your Majesty... can I ask you a question?" Andaret looked at Cyrus and replied, "Sure, what;s on your mind?"
Cyrus wasn't sure how to ask, so he just said directly, "How come you are so gassy all the time?"
Andaret was surprised that Cyrus would be so blunt, but after she paused for a moment, she took a deep breath and simply said:
