"I'm sorry Liara, but I don't think of you the same way."
"What?" The Asari named Liara T'Soni seemed completely shocked at this statement. She'd just confessed her feelings toward Sarah Shepard, and could've sworn to anyone that she felt the same way, that they had a connection.
"I said I don't have the same feelings towards you.", the captain repeated. It took a several seconds for Liara to grasp what was happening.
"I really need to get back at it. Garrus and Wrex should be geared up for our next mission." Sarah turned and went back through the storage room door, leaving Liara by herself to contemplate the last two minutes.
"I... I..."
That's about as far as she got.
She wracked her brain for the next few minutes as she absentmindedly walked towards the mess hall. She found a suitable seat and sat, finding herself next to Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams.
"Oh, hey kid. How's it hanging?', she greeted the Asari, but got no response back.
"Um, Liara? You turn your ears off or something?", Ash tried again.
"Oh, yes, Williams, hello, yes good evening, hello.", Liara spattered out every greeting in her vocabulary in a span of five seconds.
"Ok? You feeling alright Liara? Did something happen with you and Shepard?", she inquired.
"Umm, well...", Lara started off, a bit hesitant.
"Oh, come on, don't be afraid to tell me, we're both ladies here."
"Actually, Williams, Asari are mono-gender, meaning that we are not necessarily-"
"Yeah, I know, you've told us plenty of times", Ashley interrupted, "Just tell me what happened!"
"..."
"Well?!?"
"Are you familiar with the human term 'friendzoned'?"
"Wait, Sarah put you in the friendzone?!? Jeez, that's harsh, even for her." Liara's usually emotionless face was showing a sign of sadness and disappointment.
"I though we had a connection, that our connection with the Protheans linked us somehow. I guess my assumption was wrong."
"Well... maybe there still is. Maybe you just need a good push to get her to see it." She had Liara's full attention.
"I've heard on the grapevine that Sarah is into this fetish called feederism.", Ash whispered.
"Feeder... ism?"
"It's basically where a person gets off on fat chicks, stuffing their faces, gaining weight, things like that."
"Sarah is interested in... overweight women?"
"Exactly." Ash could see the gears turning in the lovesick Asari's head. "And you know what? I can help you."
"Please! I'll take any help I can get!" Liara pleaded to her human friend.
"Now that's the spirit. Now, we've got a couple ways of going about doing this. I got this little compound from the black market that increases your appetite, but decreases your metabolism, but we can ALSO take some of Wrex's Krogan food, enough calories and fat in one serving for a human to go two WEEKS on. Sol where do we start?"
