As much as Lydia was looking forward to dealing bitter vengeance against those who she felt wronged her, she didn't think it would be wise to start her reign with Widowwood. After all, she'd soon have unlimited power, but not necessarily the skills to use it to its maximum advantage. Better to hone her talents elsewhere, and return to torment her old kingdom after her status as a goddess was well and truly cemented.
Fortunately, during her years of training and study, she'd come across visions of other worlds, parallel to her own. These places were sometimes barbaric and backwards, but more often than not, they were simply strange. Lydia's personal favorite was a world that had ignored magic entirely. Rather than focus on the mystic arts, its people focused on technology and science; in some ways, their society was more advanced than the one Lydia knew. But in other ways, it was helplessly vulnerable.
Like, say, by an attack from an unknown magic force.
Smiling viciously at the prospect of destroying a world unaware, Lydia chanted the spell to transport her to this new world.
