"Yep, I am!" said Michael, who without a second thought, vanished from the room.
"Where...where did he go?" asked Kevin, utterly flummoxed.
"Who knows, he's God now, it's not our place to judge."
Michael had in fact gone to the city graveyard, where he stood in front of a grave with the name "Here Lies Jake Philips, son, friend, and taken too soon."
"Not anymore" said Michael, as a golden light began to shine down upon the grave, and the dirt parted, the coffin lifted up, and outstepped a normal looking boy of 8, same as Michael, a pair of glasses appearing on his face, with messy, short black hair, and hazel-colored eyes.
"Wh-What...?" asked Jake, completely shocked at what happened. "Where...where am I?"
"You're in a graveyard. You were dead, Jake, and I brought you back to life."
"Michael...brought me back? I was dead?" Jake asked, still very confused.
"Yep, but not anymore."
"How?"
"I'm God!"
"Thank you Lord for returning me to life!" Jake suddenly said without thinking, acting a bit shocked that he said it.
"No problem Jake!"
Jake took a minute to calm himself. He vaguely remembered a speeding car, and a massively painful hit to his side, and then nothing...at least until this point when he found himself...apparently back from the dead.
"So...what happens now, Michael?"
"Well, I wanted my best friend back, cuz I wanted to spend more time with you, and also test out all my awesome new God powers!"
"Yes Lord! Whatever you command!" replied Jake, again shocked he would respond in such a manner, but he didn't exactly consider it 'wrong' to feel that way, he really had been dead, and so he was getting a second chance at life.
"Great! So, long as you accept what I might do without fuss, between times when I need you, I'll let you REALLY enjoy yourself, alright?"
"Ok Michael!" Jake replied, nodding a bit, a bit more calmed down now. "But there is something I'd like to ask first."
"What's that?"
"Well, I don't really mind whatever you wanna do for me, but, uhm, I don't really want my family to know I'm alive again. The reason being that I figure they've moved on from me, and in turn I have a hard time wanting to see them too. I guess I don't have as much feelings towards them." Jake explained.
Michael thought in depth for a minute, then snapped his fingers, "No way!"
Suddenly Jake found himself in three places at once! His regular self, an adult version of himself, and a disembodied spirit version of himself! The two physical copies suddenly vanished, leaving only Michael and the spirit Jake behind.
"Michael!" said Jake in his ghostly voice, "What happened to my other two selves?"
"Well, one went back in time to impregnate your mother so that you become your own dad, and then the younger you IS the 'you' born from that!"
"Wh-What about this ghostly version of me?"
"That's the soul from your original body, if you want to take physical form again, either I'll have to make you a new body OR you have to find a kid our age range to willingly let you possess their body."
"What will I need to do for you to make me another body, Michael?"
"Why would you want that? You're a ghost! I mean how many people can get to say that? If I weren't God I'd love to go around and haunt people and stuff, it'd be fun, especially around Halloween!"
"Please Michael! I promise I'll do whatever you want."
"Boo. You're not being very fun."
"That's not very fun either, making jokes."
"Alright alright, here's the deal: Find someone our age to possess who needs help with something in their life and get them through it. If you can change one life for the better on your own, I'll make you a new body, and in fact I'll make you a body to ANY specifications you want. Fail, and I'll make you a body but to what I want."
"Deal."
"Alright, have fun Jake! I'll be messing with the copy of you that I made in the mean time!"
