"When I get there Shawn I expect to see the cutest and most photogenic chimpanzee I've ever seen. I've got to go, traffic is starting to get bad. See you in a bit cousin." Rebecca said before she hung up leaving Shawn to ponder his task. Shawn set up some image searches for research and made a microwave pizza to treat himself since he figured it may be a while before he could have human food. As he ate his pizza Shawn studied and memorized how the chimpanzee body was structured. Then when he felt comfortable he set up a bit of a practice round. Removing all his clothes he stood in the middle of his room and started to shift his body about. He grew hair all over his body and shifted his face a bit. In a matter of seconds Shawn looked like a perfect hybrid of himself and a monkey. He looked perfect if they ever made another of those future ape planet movies or whatever they were called.
After admiring his own handiwork for a minute Shawn figured it was time to make the final product and gave himself the proper proportions and shrunk himself down to about 3' 6". He checked a mirror and sure enough Shawn looked exactly like a normal chimpanzee. Shawn took the opportunity to go a bit wild and jumped around his apartment. He jumped on the bed and had a blast for the first time since he was about 5 years old. Then he tarted climbing and hanging all over his furniture. He was beginning to contemplate trying to hang off of the ceiling fan, but the doorbell stopped that probably bad idea from being executed. With his normal voice he called out, "Who is it?"
"It's your cousin/agent, could you let me in please?" Rebecca's said formt he other side of the door. Shawn walked over to the door a little duck footed and opened the door with no problem. Rebecca entered quickly making sure no neighbors could see the chimp in Shawn apartment. "Looking good Shawn, I just have a few notes for you."
"What's wrong? The color?" Shawn said as he turned his black fur blue getting a smile out of Rebecca. "This isn't a space monkey thing so standard black will do. Don't you remember that your character's name will be Luci? Don't you think Luci should be a girl chimp?"
Shawn sighed, "I guess so." And he quickly and quietly made the needed adjustment.
"And I know this should go without saying but could you go ahead and change your voice, we don't want to freak out the rest of the world by bringing them a talking monkey."
"What kind of amateur do you take me for? But if you want me to do it now I will." A second later the next thing that came out of Shawn's mouth was, "Ugh eek ook ook."
Rebecca smiled, "Thank you Shawn. Now lets get you to the set. We have a meeting and make sure you're on your best behavior."

One very awkward ride later where Shawn had to stay in the back of an enclosed truck in a cage, Rebecca was wheeling her shapeshifting cousin onto the studio lot where a middle aged man and a young black haired Hispanic woman seemed to be waiting for them. Rebecca started her wheeling and dealing, she introduced herself and 'Luci' to the man who it turns out is the director, Trevor Robins, and the woman was the animal trainer Sonia Nunez. For the first time in his life Shawn was kind of glad he didn't have his manhood because if he'd had it the whole world would be able to tell that he was very attracted to Sonia. He liked the idea that he'd be spending a whole lot of time with her on this shoot but really hated the idea of being a monkey.
Trevor looked at you and said, "Well she certainly looks good and healthy, but is she smart enough for this, can she be trained for being on film?"
Sonia squatted down to look you in the eye and said, "Let's test her out." And began making motions with her hands. In a moment of panic shared between you and Rebecca at the moment you realized she was trying to talk to you with sign language. Rebecca quickly stepped in, "Luci doesn't know sign language I'm afraid, but she does know English very well."
Sonia looked skeptically at Rebecca and said, "I'll be the judge of that." Turning back to you she softly and sweetly said, "Luci?" You made sure she understood that you understood her. "Luci I'd like to be your friend, I'm going to offer you my hand."
Trevor looked nervous, "Is that safe Sonia?"
"If Luci is trained it is, we're about to find out." Sonia held out her hand and smiling you took it and put your lips to it and gave it a kiss. Sonia smiled, "Well she certainly is sweet, I think I can work with her."
"That's great news, Miss Perry let's finalize the contract and let these two get to know each other better. Trevor and Rebecca went off into some building while Sonia wheeled you over to your home for the time being.
