Chapter #3

The town square

    by: Unknown
Mike quickly walked to the town square and sat down a bench. As usual, the town square was pretty packed with your average pedestrians trying to get around. He knew that with the large amount of people that flocked there everyday, it would be easy to test it out.

He thought he'd start with something not many people would notice. 2 middle aged women walked chatting nonstop to each other. As it was a warm day, one woman- who was Caucasianand tanned with long, brunette hair- wore a stylish pair of sunglasses, a large beach hat and small heels. She wore a flashy red dress with glittery sequins that sparkles in the sunlight. Her friend was a lot more conservative with sandy blonde hair, glasses with a white polo shirt, casual jeans and black trainers. 'Well, here goes nothing...' said Mike as he pushed his finger on the fuse button. A blue flash of light suddenly blinded Mike! A few seconds later he saw the aftermath: a singular woman walked in place of the two. They had tanned skin and long-blonde hair. She was wearing the hat and sunglasses( in the style of the conservative woman's ) but now had a glittery red top leading to a small denim skirt and black trainers with a little bit of heel. She was still chatty but now she spoke to herself.

On the bench Mike was going ecstatic- causing a few distasteful looks from passersby -but he didn't care. It'd worked! He really felt like he'd been given a great power BUUUUUUT he didn't want to take much responsibility, just yet. Over the next hour Mike experienced the thrill of fusing and modifying people whenever he liked by just picking the right parties.

2 businessmen wearing suits and black suitcases, seemingly on the way to work walked past 2 young women who were scantily dressed to attract attention to themselves. A few seconds later, one of the businesswomen stopped and rifled through her suitcase. "Omahgawd! I, like, totally left my makeup at home!" She pouted towards her scantily dressed friend. "Fine! But you gotta gimme it later! I've, like, got a meeting with Mr Bossy Boots and I'm, like, totes in for a promotion!" They both giggled as they walked off.

A young homeless man sat on the street asking for pennies from people walking by. Everyone gave except from this snobbish, late 30-year-old woman. She wore large diamond earrings, a lavish fur coat and designer high heels. She scoffed at the man and belittled him for being 'street scum'. A second later the man was gone. Now a 25 year woman walked away. She still wore diamond earrings and designer high heels but now wore an oversized jacket with exotic hair on the inside and wore drab ripped jeans. She walked up to another beggar on the street and gave a large wad of cash, no questions asked. The man quickly hugged her and ran off, probably towards his family.

Down the road a 15-year-old couple walked. The girl had red hair tied into a bun and was obviously pregnant, looking like she was about to burst while the boy with shaggy hair and a beaten up luffa jacket strolled nonchalantly next to her, lighting a cigarette and inhaling the fumes. "Jerry you need to stop for the baby- it's harmful to them!" The guy just smirked and said,"I'll quit as soon as the baby comes," which angered the mother to be to no end. A blue flash and now walking by herself was a teenage mother to be with shaggy red hair tied onto a bun wearing a luffa jacket that barely covered her baby bump. She felt the cigarette in her mouth and put it out, disposing of it afterwards. "I'm never gonna pick up one of those again for you, baby." She took a couple more steps forward but then suddenly doubled over right next to Mike. Mike then...
