Marina's magical training had taught her that there were many solutions to one problem. She would create a transformation plague that would infect all of the servants of Dreze. The foolish wizard marked all of his servants and it would make it easy for the magical plague to distinguish between the innocent and the guilty with the lands the plague would cover. Creating the plague posed a few problems such as some of the ingredients were difficult and dangerous to get and casting it would require draining much of her magic for several days, but it would eliminate the threat of the army of Dreze and make the wizard a minor threat without the loss of any lives.
One of the most difficult pieces to get would be the unicorn hairs because they had many magical defenses to protect them and though good they had many poor experiences with wizards which made them extremely paranoid of any wizards coming for favors. The hairs were essential but dealing with a creature of good limited her options on what she would feel right doing. Marina would have to make a deal and she hoped she would be able to pay the price.
The second ingredient was mimic blood which was difficult to find at the best of times and they were dangerous to find at the best of times and they were certainly very dangerous because of the many forms they took when they lay in wait to ambush prey. Luckily she had a lead on where to find one. Marina was only worried what she would happen once she found it.
Perhaps the most dangerous were the waters from the spring inside the temple of Basta. Basta was an evil god of the hunt and animals. The priests frequently used the waters from the spring of change within the temple to turn people into animals to hunt for blood sport in honor of their god. It would be extremely dangerous to get inside and back out without being killed or worse, hunted as an animal.
