Kiba gleefully strolled down the street, one hand carelessly rested atop his especially bloated belly; now barely concealed by his shirt, which now began to peak right below his belly button. As he and Akamaru trotted on, they got occasional glances from the townsfolk. While Kiba paid them no heed, Akamaru couldn't help but whine a bit as he knew exactly what was surprising them so much. Hearing this, Kiba looked down at the giant dog and asked, "Something wrong, boy?" People are still giving you weird looks.
Looking around to confirm, Kiba scoffed. "Ah, whatever. They're all just jealous cause THEY don't get to enjoy a free all you can eat pass to any restaurant in Konoha." Kiba bragged, smirking cockily as they continued on. Akamaru's ears dropped over his eyes in embarrassment at the sight. Yes...that MUST be the reason... "Oh come on, lighten up, buddy. We're just having fun is all. Besides, these people'll be giving us those same looks when they see how fast I can work this off next month!" Kiba responded, patting his distended gut for emphasis, causing it to bounce slightly with each pat. So I hope... As the two carried on, a familiar voice called out to them.
"Oi! Kiba! Akamaru!"
The two stopped and immediately turned around, greeted by none other than Kiba's boneheaded pal, Naruto Uzumaki, who approached the two. Upon reaching them, his eyebrows raised as his attention shifted right towards Kiba's rounded gut. "Jeez, what've you been doing these past few days?" Naruto asked. Kiba grinned and said, "Oh, y'know...just hitting up every single restaurant I can and enjoying as much free food as I can possibly eat. Which, last I checked..." Kiba stopped as a slightly impish grin grew over his face. "...was more than you and Choji." Akamaru's paw immediately rose over to his face as he shook his head. Here we go, heeeere we go...
Immediately, Naruto's face steamed bright red as he angrily shouted, "YOU GOT LUCKY AT THAT STINKIN' EATING CONTEST!!" Kiba laughed and said, "Funny, didn't seem like luck when you started groaning on about having a bellyache while I was trailblazing on and on to victory, Uzumaki." Stammering angrily to respond, Naruto pointed in Kiba's face furiously and finally added, "Oh yeah?! Well, JUST YOU WAIT, DOG-BREATH!!! CAUSE NEXT TIME-"
A sudden audible rumbling caught both Kiba's and Akamaru's ears. Naruto had stopped mid-sentence and mid-point as his face flushed red once more, with embarrassment, as his own thin stomach began to rumble quite audibly. Kiba burst into laughter, causing his stomach to jiggle a bit as Naruto's face grew redder. Wiping a tear of laughter from his face, Kiba shook his head and patted Naruto on the shoulder playfully. "Look, bonehead, instead of griping about how badly you're gonna lose again if we ever go head to head in another eating contest, how about we go get ourselves something to eat?" He then pulled out his voucher and added, "My treat."
The angry and embarrassed expression on Naruto's face lightened a bit as he glanced curiously at Kiba and said, "Really?" Akamaru immediately glanced back at Kiba and added in a much less amused tone. …Really?
Kiba gave Naruto a wide smile and said, "Why not? They said all the free food I want, and if I order more than even I can handle, well, there's no harm in sharing, right? Besides, no use being able to enjoy a free voucher if I can't enjoy it with my buds." After a moment, Naruto's face lit up as he smiled back and said, "Heh, thanks, man!" Kiba playfully nudged Naruto in the arm, but Akamaru was still less than enthusiastic. Seeing this, Kiba ruffled the big dog's head and said, "Hey, after all those steaks, pork chops, and what have you, I was feelin' like some dessert anyway." Kiba, I REALLY think you're overdoing it this time… But before Akamaru could continue, his own furry, white stomach let out a hungry growl, causing the dog to blush beneath his fur as Kiba laughed and said, "Guess I ain't the only one hankerin' for some after-steak dessert. Don't worry, boy. I already told you, even if I add a few pounds, I'll still work it off in no time! Plus, how can I NOT use a free food for a month voucher to its' fullest use?" Kiba gave the dog a sly grin and said, "Wouldn't wanna be wasteful, now would we?" And with that, he and Naruto headed off. Akamaru shook his head. Why couldn't they go to an all-you-can-eat salad place…?"
Akamaru eventually rejoined Kiba and Naruto as they headed towards...
