As soon as the giant juvenile puma cub heard his friend suggest the game his eyes lit up, his sleek arm shot up into the air to stake his claim.
“Ooh! Me first! Me first!!” he shouted, the pupils of his wide eyes contracting as he studied the ant sized creature on his large friend’s palm.
The tiny hairless critter was smaller than the claw on his little toe, smaller than the baby teeth lining his mouth. As large as the puma cub was though in comparison to the little person they’ve captured, the baby bear was about half a head taller and absolutely colossal.
The doughy rounded features of the young bear’s fuzzy face were still all characteristic of an adolescent cub, but the recent growth spurt he had gone through had made him one of the tallest kids in his grade. The difference in size between the friends wasn’t just about height though, every part of the bear cub’s body was wider and burlier. His rounded fuzzy cheeks and paunchy belly that pressed out against his overalls made it clear that he regularly cleaned his plate each supper and didn’t skip pie for dessert.
The gargantuan bear cub looked briefly vexed that his friend had jumped the gun and insisted on going first, but quickly got over it and asked his friend over his shoulder. “Well, what should I do with it?”
The smile on the puma’s face broadened as his eyes narrowed on David, the look he gave him made his little heart sink as the giant juvenile beast thought up something cruel or unusual for the bug they found.
