It’s been a long day at work. You finally make it home and you are about ready to relax and take a long nap when you hear the booming noise from across the street. You look out the window and take notice of all the vehicles that are parked on the house across the street.
“Must be some kind of party”, you mutter aloud.
You really don’t want to seem like some kind of jerk but you are really tired and the noise of death metal and other music at full blast, so loud that it penetrates your house like it’s nothing. You can’t relax like this. You stumble outside your house and make your way across the street, taking notice of the sky full of storm clouds. You are familiar with the owners of the house. Two women from what you know, one in her mid-twenties and the other in her early twenties or late teens. They seem to be what they call, goths as they wear all black and have the other… accessories, that otherwise lead you to believe. You get closer to the house and the music gets louder, you take notice of the grass in the yard being long, the trees seemingly desolated with no green leaves and of course cars still stack the driveway and are lined up along the curve. You soon make it to the front door where you take a deep breath and knock on the door three times….
Nothing. The music must to loud.
This time you bang on the door three times. Suddenly a streak of lightning darts down and strikes you on your back! You instantly feel a burning sensation that spreads instantly along your whole body, you honestly believe you are going to die as the burning gets so hotter and the temperature of your skin just stops right before the point where it would seem to damage the cells. You suddenly notice that everything around you grows bigger and bigger! You are in a panicked state to say the least but you have enough logic to know that the world probably isn’t enlarging, no, you are shrinking! The streak of lightning seems to have an adverse effect on your body, instead of killing you with its millions of volts and temperature of hotter than the surface of the sun, it instead shrinks you until you are…..
