Chapter #7

Schemeing and Coniving

    by: Unknown
“Alright, you got me.” Says Collin sheepishly. “I do like her, and have for quite some time. I just couldn’t get her to notice me. When I saw you were friends with her, I thought I had lost my chance.” “You almost did lose your chance.” You tell him about what happened at the lake on Saturday. “So you rejected her?” Collin says hopefully. “Please don’t say it like that.” You say. “I really like Ramona as a friend, it’s Chloe that I have romantic feelings for.”

“So I still have a chance!” Collin pumps his fist in the air in celebration. “You suddenly have an idea, and Idea that can fulfill both yours and Collin’s wishes to make up to Ramona. “I think I know how to make this whole thing better.” You say. “I’ll ask Chloe if she wants to go out to lunch this weekend. I’ll invite Ramona, and you come meet us there, but pretend you didn’t know about it.”

Collin quickly catches on to your plan. “You’d do that for me?” He asks. “For both of you.” You reply. “You and Ramona. I promised myself I would make it up to her for hurting her feelings like that. If this works, we’ll all be happy.”

You expected Collin to be happy about your plan, what you didn’t expect was for him to suddenly hug you. “That means a lot man.” He says “I owe you one.” “Can you please let go of me?” You ask “You’re crushing my spine.” Collin lets go of you, realizing the awkwardness of the situation. “Well, I gotta get to class.”

“Me too.”

Later at lunch, you asked Ramona if she wanted to go to lunch on Saturday, but you didn’t tell her about Collin or Chloe. Why?” She asked. “Shouldn’t you be doing that with Chloe?” “I just wanted to make up to you for hurting you so bad.” You say. “I thought I could buy you lunch, whatever you want.“

“Alright, I guess that would be nice.”

You go back to your table and sit next to Chloe telling you about your plan. “So, you tricked Ramona in going on a double date with you and me, and you’re pairing her up with Collin without her knowing?”

“Well, when you say it that way I sound like a prick, but that’s basically it, yeah.”

“Don’t you think she’ll be angry when she finds out?”

“It’s worth a try. If it works, Ramon and Collin will both be happy, and I’ll have made up to Ramona.”

“What if it doesn’t work?”

“Well, Ramona wouldn’t do anything to harm me….would she?”

You have the following choices:

1. The date goes perfectly

*Noteb*
2. Th date goes horribly wrong

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
