Lunging forward, you grab Kate's ankles, one in each hand. Her feet are kicking, so she must be alive. There's not much of her left though. Her knees just went into Susan's mouth. The little girl looks annoyed and angry that you might take her tasty meal, jerking her head back in an attempt to wrench Kate's legs out of your grip. You respond by planting a foot on her chest and yanking.
The first try does nothing. Susan's grip is too good. But then her mouth opens, as she gets ready to gobble the last of Kate and start on you...which gives you a perfect opportunity. Pulling hard, you drag Kate's legs back up your little sister's throat. She gags in surprise, until Kate's hips catch at the top of the esophagus. The legs spasm in your hands, and you take a step back. With a wet 'pop' the hips slide out, Kate's shorts soaked and burned by digestive acids.
Susan's mouth snaps shut on your best friend's middle, refusing to give up her meal. Her gut has reduced in size, but Kate's struggling is getting weaker. You need to get her back into fresh air quickly, or you'll lose her to suffocation instead of digestion.
