George manages to escape at the last second

Right as the massive slice of bread was about to fall on top of him, George jumped off of the sandwich and landed on the kitchen counter. Groaning in pain, he looked up to see the towering wall of bread and other food items before him, which was then effortlessly lifted up by his older brother. Tom then left the kitchen with his sandwich, leaving George to lie there on the cold surface.

Although he was hurting, George was at least glad to have escaped a much worse fate. After a few minutes, he struggled to pick himself up before looking around the room. Now, what would he do? He needed to get to safety in some way, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to keep trying to get someone's help right now or if he wanted to hide and think of a plan.
