Fluttershy sighed to herself as she awoke peacefully to the sound of birdsong. The birds always loved to wake her gently when morning came. Fluttershy opened her eyes, seeing the sun coming up over Canterlot, off in the distance. It wasn't that her bedroom had a great view or anything. Well, it did, but Fluttershy hadn't seen it in months. She hadn't seen inside any room in quite some time. It was really rather difficult to when you had a belly as big as a 1-story house.
Yes, Fluttershy was currently resting on her belly, a giant mound of fat that spread out several feet in every direction, keeping her so far off the ground that her comparatively stubby hooves had no chance of ever meeting earth again. Her multitude of chins led directly into the fat of the front of her body, all signs of a neck having long since disappeared. In fact, aside from the ends of her hooves peaking through her rolls, and two tiny wings attached her her back, the only defining body feature Fluttershy had left was a massive rear end, great rippled flanks that arched away from her, nearly swallowing her tail. Each cheek easily weighed more than Big Macintosh. Fluttershy took a deep breath and sunk further into her fat for a moment, causing more folds to appear around her head.
It had started when she was young. Pegasus ponies just weren't meant to stay on the ground. Between the lack of exercise she was getting and the heavy earth-pony food, Fluttershy had quickly developed into a pudgy filly. But that had only made her friends! Rainbow Dash, already her friend, seemed to like relaxing with her more, and as young Fluttershy bulked up her belly just became a good pillow for the lazy Rainbow. Her developing love of earth pony food was how she had met Pinkie Pie, who had to be solely responsible for a couple hundred pounds as she eagerly gifted away all the cakes, pies, and sweets that she could afford. And as she became increasingly inactive, she became a better listener, ideal for Rarity, who often seemed of two minds about Fluttershy's weight but had never bothered her.
It wasn't just ponies, either. Her animal friends loved to hide under her folds when it got cold, or rest on her when tired, and the more of her there was the more animals she could accomodate. By the time she started hitting immobility, her good friend Applejack would gladly cart her around, eager to help the mare responsible for about half their annual sales. Fluttershy had thought near-immobility had been the limit, until Twilight had shown up. Able to teleport Fluttershy in times of need, and otherwise magically able to remedy many of her issues with immobility, Twilight had helped Fluttershy expand to her current state. Every so often they moved her about for a change of scenery, helped her with necessities, as did the animals who brought her food from the forest and town.
Fluttershy wasn't just content because this was another peaceful day, however. Today was going to be a special day, today was....
