This choice: ...when Twilight promised to use magic to help her get even bigger • Go Back...Chapter #6the day Twilight would help her lose some weight. by: Unknown Fluttershy did her daily exercise, at least, what felt like exercise. She accomplished the gargantuan task of rolling herself upright so she could see ponies as they approached her home. Just as she finished panting from her efforts, and after a few apples to help regain her energy, she saw a purple unicorn walking towards her. Fluttershy squeaked in delight and waved her flabby hoof as Twilight Sparkle approached her.
"Hello, Twilight. Did you read the spells you needed?"
"I sure did, Fluttershy. It's all in here," said Twilight as she lifted an old spellbook entitled "Healthful Hexes for Heavy Horses".
"Good," sighed Fluttershy, "I miss being able to walk."
"Well, if everything works out right, you'll be up and walking in no time," replied Twilight.
Fluttershy began to cry tears of joy for the ability to walk that she had lost quite some time ago. Twilight looked dutifully through her book and found the spell named "Adipostulate". Focusing her mind on the spell, a beam of purple energy shot from Twilight's horn to Fluttershy's body. "Oh my," gasped Fluttershy as the tingling sensation of the spell tickled her mounds of pudge. Twilight had to grit her teeth to keep the spell from dissolving at once. After about 30 seconds of intense effort, Twilight let her horn relax and the purple energy field around Fluttershy disappeared soon thereafter.
"Di- did it work? Am I thin again?" asked Fluttershy, who kept her eyes closed in anticipation of seeing her thin body once more.
"Uhh, well..." said Twilight. "You might want to open your eyes."
Fluttershy opened her eyes and looked down at her body, which was exactly the same size it had been before. Fluttershy started sobbing even harder, realizing she would forever remain immobile. "Hey, come on, Fluttershy. There's no need for tears." said Twilight, reassuringly.
"I know. It's just... it's just that I... I wanted to be able to walk again and do the things I used to." heaved Fluttershy between huge sobs that shook her fat rolls like an earthquake.
"I don't understand. I did everything the book said to do. This spell must have been translated incorrectly from Old Equestrian." explained Twilight as she looked diligently at the spell. Fluttershy continued to sob as she removed a cake from her fat rolls, which acted as a pantry for her enormous appetite. Just after Fluttershy had finished her cake, and a couple of Applejack's apple fritters as a post-dessert dessert, Twilight said, "Yep. That's it. That's definitely what went wrong."
"What is? What went wrong?" asked Fluttershy.
"It turns out there was an error in the translation of the spell's effects. This spell doesn't make you lose weight, this spell makes you GAIN weight!" said Twilight.
