It was a nine. A huge Number 9. The pieces suddenly fell into place.
"No, it can't be...." Ash said to himself. But there was no other explanation. He was in an impossibly huge shoe. Who in their right mind would make a shoe this big? He looked up though the mouth of the shoe and saw the ceiling of a vast room hundreds of feet above him. It finally dawned on him that he wasn’t in a huge shoe. The shoe was normal size. he was incredibly small.
Ash's heart started to pound, how the hell did this happen? What was going to happen next? Was Rod Sterling going to pop out of nowhere and do a monolog about the Twilight Zone? Or did he do that while Ash was unconscious?
Ash had to get out of there, that much was certain. He didn't want to meet up with the owner of the gigantic foot where. But the more he looked the more he came to the conclusion that the only way out was through the mouth of the shoe and that was way out of reach.
"I should have stayed in bed, but noooo. I had to go for a walk because it was such a nice day. Now my tiny ass was in somebody’s shoe...."
He sat down defeated.
A moment later Ash felt the first vibration.
Faint at first, but then grew in strength. Soon the vibrations were accompanied by muffled thuds that grew louder as the vibrations intensified. he stood and looked skywards, the vibrations traveling through his body. Ash's Jaw hit his chest as an enormous being came into view. He easily recognised the being from a cartoon he once watched, but this was no cartoon the person towering above him looked real. Ever seen those pictures of what cartoon characters might look like in real life? Same thing, only this person wasn't a computer generated character. This was all too real.
