One day Nancy is brimming over with excitement and has you come over to her father's home. Her father is a big shot scientist and Nancy wants to show you the cutting edge technology that he has been working on. Its virtual reality and not just a mask and sensory input, its full on Matrix style virtual reality. Nancy, being the girl she was, had of course pre-programmed it with a mode that would play like a D&D session!
You were intrigued and you quickly launched into the "game." Nancy had programmed the computer to throw randomized challenges at you two so even she wouldn't know what was happening. Of course since the AI was powerful, this could have some unintended consequences. Neither of you think about that before strapping yourselves down and hooking up to the machine.
Does the AI make the game more interesting by threatening you with a real life-or-death simulation, or can you die in the game and suffer no consequences in the real world?
