Testing the remote seemed like a good idea. I already knew the right place for testing the thing....my work! I had taken a day off from work, but this remote begged for a visit to the office. There were quite a few people I would gladly bring down to size. So many times people were complaining about my efforts not being good enough. Well I would show them!
I grabbed the car keys out of my purse and headed into the hallway. "I'm off to the office," I yelled upstairs. "Hhhmm...okahh. Okay mom!," Matt and Tina replied. I grabbed my coat and opened the front door. It was quite a hot day, but still early in the morning so the coat was absolutely necessary. I closed the front door behind me and approached my car.
As I unlocked my car I waved at my neighbor. "Good morning Karen, off to work? Isn't it your day off?," the raven haired woman said. "Hi Deidre, yes it is, but I got a few things to take care off," I replied opening the door. "Well make sure it doesn't take to long or it will ruin your day," Deidre laughed. "Oh, don't worry, I'll be right back," I smiled and hopped into my car.
I put my car away on the parking place and headed to the office building. As I entered the building the woman behind the counter frowned at me. "Karen? What are you doing here? Friday is your day off," the brunette girl said. "I just forgot a few papers. It won't take long Paula," I gave the girl a smile and stepped towards the elevator.
